Balanced

Balance (noun) - A counteracting weight or force.

Throughout my life, I have been struck by the combination of nature and urban environment in Columbia. Every time I would visit my grandparents, we would go to the park or drive around the campuses and I always noticed the nature surrounding me. I don’t know if this was because I was actually paying attention to the area or if I was just with my grandmother who is a former biology teacher and avid naturalist. However, since I moved to Columbia for school, I have noticed the balance of “urban” environment and “natural” environment in the town and surrounding Columbia area.
